Glow was the first plant-based café in El Nido, Palawan that started its operations 2017. It is dedicated to feature our local ingredients that are often overlooked for its high nutritional value, hence every recipe is mindfully tailored for body’s nutritional needs. Glow menu changes as they work with the season’s produce and what is offered by our Mother Earth through our local farmers. Glow Plant-based café intends to be more than just a fad but its decolonizing approach aims to constantly remind our guests of eating consciously.
Sheryl Ocampo from General Santos City, Mindanao grew up in mixed roots of Visaya and Ilonggo. A nurse by profession and passionate about in creating dishes with medicinal herbs. Worked ten years in French NGO of medical nurses and doctors that conducts medical and dental missions to conflict stricken areas and lived throughout different regions of South East Asia. She settled El Nido, Palawan where she created Glow Café that started as a juice bar and now a seasonal dependent & plant-based café which is part of her slow-food movement advocacy.
